我发现我从来没为Levin的你们写过一字一句，今天想念初到Levin的时候遇见的你们，非常非常地想念。这是送你们的礼物...我的想念。
当时原本计划是要去包装苹果的，结果就因为我四月底要离开纽西兰而变成了到Levin去割瓜，不太清楚这会是怎么样的工作，只听Agnes（萝卜果汁厂的supervisor）说会辛苦但是这是计时薪的工作。当时心想：连冬天帮葡萄枝、冬天的春天採芦笋这种冷死人累死人不偿命的工作也做过了，应该不会死在田里吧? 所以就答应了。
刚开始工作的两三天，我割瓜的速度是属于龟速，回到家简直就是好睡极了！渐渐的训练有成，割瓜速度变快、拔萝卜篮数比起高壮的男生有小胜一点点、连包装和种菜也能掌握其速度和技巧，最后连我自己也不敢相信自己竟然当了supervisor的助理！太不可思议，果然我证明了人在穷的时候干什么都会很拼命！
因为我是一个人，所以住进了豪宅，里面都是独自来working holiday的女生，住了我、过后成了好朋友的韩国女生镇焕，不久后变成我女儿的高坂爱还有和我有类似际遇马来西亚的Penny。还有另一票来自不同国家的“割瓜友人”住在Holiday Park。Holiday Park 住了香港的Liz, Ruby&Kenny；台湾的Andrew以及Peyton；韩国的Jo&Go Geang, Chang Gi, Jin, Sue, Louie, Lindsay, Seonhye, Carrie, Kiehl, John, Lee, Soo Hyun；日本的Taka, Akane, Midori, Ken, Hiro,Yuka, Yuki ，最后当然少不了马来西亚的Dylan, Vicky&Brandon。我在这了解了各国不同的文化和习惯，小小学了一些韩语以及日语单词，也练出了小小的酒量。
我们几乎每两星期就会Party一次，大家各自烘蛋糕、烤鸡、做起各国自家的美食摆桌，每每辛苦工作一段时间后就是爱用吃来慰劳自己。
我感激最初在Levin工作时候遇见的你们，让我在朋友一一离开纽国之后不觉得孤单，也让我很快乐地度过了那么辛苦工作的日子。
I realized that I never write something for those lovely friends I met in Levin. I suddenly thought of you all today, miss you guys very very much. This is a present for you...
My original plan was to work in apple packhouse, but I have to leave New Zealand end of April 2010, so I changed my plan to work in Zucchini Farm, Levin. I heard from Agnes (Supervisor of Carrot Juice Factory) that it is a really hard job but it is an hourly job. My first thought that time: I trimmed & wrapped grape vines during winter; I cut asparagus during cold Spring days which are both tough jobs, I don't think I will die in Zucchini Farm. So, I agreed to work there.
My zucchini cutting speed is really like a slow turtle at first few days, and I really slept well every night! but slowly...my speed and skill of cutting zucchinis, picking carrots, packing and planting are all ahead of some strong men, kkkkk.... Lastly, I really can't believe that I became assistant supervisor. I've proved that a human will really work hard and show the capability when he/she is really poor! ^^
I stayed with supervisor and another three ladies in a Banglo house because we were traveling alone that time. I met my Zagi sister JinHwan from Korea, lovely musume Ai Kosaka from Japan & Penny, who has similar experiences with me from Malaysia in the same house. There is another big group of Zucchini Buddies staying in holiday park, there are Liz, Ruby & Kenny from Hong Kong; Andrew & Peyton from Taiwan; Jo, Go Geang, Chang Gi, Jin, Sue, Louie, Lindsay, John, Lee, Soo Hyun, Seonhye & Carrie from Korea; Taka, Akane, Midori, Ken, Hiro, Yuka, Yuki from Japan; last but not least, Dylan, Vicky & Brandon from Malaysia. I've learned some knowledge & culture of your countries, little bit of Korean words & Japenese words from you guys, and trained to become a better alcohol drinker, hehe.
I remember that we almost party every two weeks, baked cakes, grilled chicken and our own countries' food and drinks. Party is to reward ourselves after working hard in cutting zucchinis~
I appreciate and thank you guys for brighten up my life when I start working in Zucchini farm, made me not feeling lonely after most of my New Zealand Buddies leaving. Big hugssss to all of you for giving me such a good time although we had tough job that time!
